Mr. LEUNG Cheuk Yan
Mr LEUNG Cheuk Yan read sociology at CUHK and Oxford University, and law at the College of Law, England.
As a solicitor Mr Leung specialized in banking, corporate and capital markets, with a strong focus on China. He was a partner at Baker & McKenzie, where he headed the firm's securities practice, and oversaw the stock exchange listings of over 100 companies, including industry leaders like PetroChina, Air China and China Life Insurance.
After a career spanning three decades which coincided with the phenomenal growth of China and Hong Kong, Mr Leung retired in 2011. He now sits on the boards of Bank of China Limited and global mining company MMG Limited as a non-executive director.
Mr Leung's hobbies include reading, classical music and travels.
He enjoys associating with young people, and looks for intellectual curiosity, ambition, integrity and initiatives in mentees.
