CUHK participates in LMU Munich Scientific Forum in Beijing

CUHK takes part in the 4th Scientific Forum of the LMU-China Academic Network to strengthen ties with LMU Munich and other members of the network.

CUHK takes part in the 4th Scientific Forum of the LMU-China Academic Network to strengthen ties with LMU Munich and other members of the network.

A 7-member delegation from CUHK took part in the 4th Scientific Forum of the LMU-China Academic Network set up by Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich (LMU Munich) during 21-24 November 2018 in Peking University in Beijing, China. The delegation comprised members from the Departments of English, Economics, and Government and Public Administration, and the Office of Academic Links (OAL). CUHK academics were engaged in two panels, ‘The Political Economy of Institutional Change in China’ and ‘The Problem of Transferability of Key Concepts in the Humanities’, to showcase their research strengths. They explored common areas of interest and discussed plans of collaboration during the forum. A representative from OAL presented the University’s internationalisation efforts in the ‘Translations and Interactions in Internationalisation’ panel, where there was dynamic exchange of ideas and good practice in promoting internationalisation and further collaboration among members of the network.

LMU Munich is a public research university in Germany which is among the top institutions in the country. CUHK is an anchor partner of the LMU-China Academic Network, which aims to build collaborations in different scientific areas with leading universities in China.
