Two CUHK-led projects awarded WUN RDF

CUHK achieved great success in the latest round of the Worldwide Universities Network Research Development Fund (WUN RDF) with both submissions awarded. The RDF provides seed funding to foster research collaborations among WUN members in four Global Challenges, namely Global Higher Education and Research, Responding to Climate Change, Public Health (Non-communicable Disease), and Understanding Cultures. Exploratory activities such as workshops, visits, and exchanges are supported.

The two selected projects led by CUHK members are:

  • ‘Analysing the Role of Urban Forms in Making Sustainable, Healthy Cities’ led by Prof. Hendrik Tieben, Associate Professor, School of Architecture. Collaborating WUN institutions in this project include the Universities of Auckland and Sydney.
  • ‘Women’s Mobility: Negotiating Work and Family Spheres in Asia’ led by Prof. SONG Jing, Assistant Professor, Gender Studies Programme. Collaborating WUN institutions in this project include the Universities of Massachusetts at Amherst, Sydney, York, and Zhejiang University.
