Gordon Research Conferences (GRC)

The Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) is a world renowned organisation that puts together meetings and seminars in the fields of biological, chemical and physical sciences, bringing together leading scientists from all over the world to engage in dialogue and discussion on unpublished research work. The meetings have been held since 1931 and have expanded to almost 200 meetings every year in a number of sites in the US, Italy, Switzerland and Hong Kong.

Since 2012, CUHK has been serving as the Hosting Site for GRC meetings and seminars in Hong Kong under the coordination of the Office of Academic Links (OAL). Scientists from around the world with common academic interests join together at CUHK for a full week of intense discussion and examination of the most advanced aspects of their field. Shorter meetings known as the Gordon Research Seminars (GRS) are also held prior to GRC meetings for graduate students, post-docs and other scientists with comparable levels of experience. Over the past six years, 21 meetings and four seminars have taken place on CUHK campus.
