1. Coursework: successful applicants must enroll in either one of the following courses.
(1) European Cultures and Identities
(2) European Politics and Economy
2. Study mode
- lectures in the morning
- seminars and presentation sessions in the afternoon
3. 1-day field excursion

Programme Requirements
|
1. Attend all pre-departure seminars organized by CWC / UC (details to be confirmed)
2. Complete all coursework of the Programme with a passing or above grade

Cost
|
1. Approximately HK$19,500* per student
2. The amount will cover a round-trip air-ticket, academic programme and course materials, compulsory excursions and accommodation at the student dormitory of Utrecht
3. Does NOT cover local transport, visa application, meals and other daily expenses
4. Airport transfers on arrival will be available at extra cost
* Based on conversion rate: EUR 1: HK$9 (for reference only). Exact programme fees will be confirmed later. Any change in exchange rate and ticket price will also affect the calculation.

College Subsidies
|
Upon fulfillment of all the programme requirements, the College will provide a subsidy of up to HK$10,000 to each participant on need and/ or merit basis.

Interview
|
Shortlisted students may be invited to join an interview conducted by the External Links & Exchange Committee. We shall inform applicants of the interview arrangements (if any) via email.

Announcement of Results
|
Results will be announced by late February 2020
|
Visa application
|
1. Students are responsible for preparing relevant travel documents and acquiring visa on their own
2. A travel document/ passport must be valid for 6 months at least from the date of travel; please apply for or renew your passport as appropriate

Departure and Stay-behind arrangement
|
1. Round-trip tickets will be purchased through UC, CUHK. CWC students must depart together with other participants from UC with the arranged flight schedule.
2. Students may apply to stay behind after the official programme period (not more than 2 weeks)
3. Additional charges incurred from the extension of stay will be borne by the students
4. Stay-behind applications will be made through UC. Details will be available at a later stage.

Credit Transfer
|
Upon fulfillment of the programme requirements, students can apply for credit transfer (equivalent to 3 CUHK units ); these units will NOT be tied to any specific course exemptions, but will be counted as general electives towards the credits required for graduation.
