CUHK 8th Annual (2018) Study Abroad Writing Contest Winners

First place

• Patricia Ricafort is a second-year student in the Global Communication Programme at CUHK. For the 2018-19 academic year, she is studying Global Media and Communications at the University of Sussex in the U.K.

Second place

• Cairo Williams is a third-year LLB Law student from the University of Sussex in the U.K. For the 2018-19 academic year, she is enrolled in the IASP (International Asian Studies) programme at CUHK, where she is taking Putonghua, Economics and Law courses.

Third place

• Chik Lok Yee, Diana is a second-year student in the Global Communication Programme in CUHK’s Faculty of Social Science. She is on exchange at the University of Sussex, the U.K., from September 2018 to June 2019 as part of the CUHK-Sussex Global Communication Curriculum.

Honorable mention

• Cheung Long Yee, Christy is a senior anthropology major at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In the first term of the 2018-19 academic year, she participated in a semester-long international exchange programme at Occidental College in the USA. At the host institution, she took courses on race and ethnicity.
• Wong Ching Yi, Karen is a third-year Linguistics major at CUHK. For the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year, she is studying Linguistics and Criminology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada in an international exchange programme that has been organised by the OAL (CUHK).
