CUHK’s excellence reaffirmed globally
CUHK’s excellence in teaching and research is recognised globally.
CUHK’s excellence in teaching and research has been recently reaffirmed by international ranking agencies.
The University ranks 56th in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2021, climbing up one spot from last year. The table is based on 13 performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance in five pillars including teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income. In particular, CUHK excels in international outlook and ranks 11th globally in this area. Similarly, the University also sees strong performance in another newly released league table, the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2020, where it has topped the list in Hong Kong.
The Office of Academic Links (OAL) has been promoting CUHK’s teaching and research excellence through promotional campaigns with ranking agencies to strengthen the University’s international presence and reputation. With online publicity gaining increasing importance during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, OAL will continue to explore virtual means to strengthen CUHK’s visibility on the global higher education stage.
