Visit by the University of Queensland

Delegates from the University of Queensland are warmly welcomed by CUHK’s management.

An 8-member delegation led by Prof. Peter Høj, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia visited CUHK on 4 July 2019 to discuss potential collaborations in the areas of biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences, humanities and social sciences. The delegation had a fruitful discussion with CUHK’s management, including Prof. Rocky S. Tuan, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. FOK Tai-fai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; and the Deans of Engineering, Medicine, and Social Science. Joint workshops themed health engineering will be planned in the near future to bring researchers together to explore possible partnerships.

During the visit, the vice-chancellors and medical school deans of both universities have also signed an agreement to allow the exchange of medical students for clinical attachments.
