Acting Appointment

Prof. YIP Hon Ming, Department Chair, will be away between 15 and 19 October 2015 to attend a conference. Prof. LAI Ming Chiu will be the Acting Chair during Prof. Yip’s academic leave.

 


Academic Activities

Recapping the academic seminar “Discussing the Doing of (Urban) History” conducted by Prof. Ian MORLEY on 2 October 2015.

Prof. Ian MORLEY started the talk with his own research experience and interests. Trained in geography and urban planning and having conducted research on urban planning history in the Philippines, he unfolded the multi-disciplinary nature and main research approaches of urban history with the works of various scholars and cases, and demonstrated the dynamics of doing urban and historical studies.
