Academic Activities

Welcoming Students and Teachers from Department of History, National Taipei University

Students and teachers from the History Department of National Taipei University visited the Department between 10 and 17 September 2017. During their visit, they took part in the various activities organised by Dr. MA Muk Chi, Programme Manager of the MA Programme in Comparative and Public History, which included a field trip to Blue House in Wan Chai, a workshop at the Government Records Service, a visit to the Hong Kong Museum of History, a field trip to Tang Ancestral Hall and temples of Yuen Long Ha Tsuen.

Their students also participated in workshops and made presentations on two topics: “臺灣日治時期殖民地官廳建築──以臺灣總督府為例” and “日治時期臺灣城市飲食文化的延續與變遷(1895-1945)” on 13 and 14 September 2017, respectively. Prof. HUNG Chien-Jung and Prof. CHA Hsin delivered two talks entitled “十九世紀後期西方來臺傳教士對於臺灣社會之風水現象的態度” and “日本軍國主義下臺灣基督教學校的困境與調適”, respectively, on 15 September 2017. Participants greatly enjoyed the presentations and discussions at the workshops and seminars. The activities were satisfactorily concluded.
