During the past few years, the RCGE has been actively engaged in organizing such activities as academic conferences:

• Luncheon (2006)
• "Humanity in the Sciences and Science in the Humanities" (2005)

Before the establishment of RCGE, several conferences were organized by the Office of University General Education:

• "3+3+4 Symposium on General Education" (2009)
• "Suffering and Happiness" (2004) (in Chinese only)
• "Life and Death" (2002) (in Chinese only)
• "University General Education Programme cum Liberal Education" (2001) (in Chinese only)
