With a view to enabling universities to more effectively implement general education, the BCRCGE has, during the past several years, carried out a series of studies on university general education and high school liberal studies curricula. The focus of these studies can be divided as follows:
- the effectiveness of general education;
 - the philosophy of general education in various regions; and
 - research on liberal studies in high schools.
