Welcome to the new academic year! A departmental lunch gathering was held on 4 October 2019 to start off the academic year. Over 40 teaching, administrative and research staff members of the Department, as well as Ms. Wang Qiaoqiao and Ms. Aigul Mustafina, visitors from Zhejiang University City College and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, participated in this meaningful event. During the opening remarks, Prof. Steven Ngai gave a short speech and extended his good wishes for a productive and fruitful academic year to all faculty members. He also introduced all new staff members and extended a warm welcome to them. All staff members had a splendid lunch gathering, full of laughter and good moments.
