The primary goal of this course is to introduce basic concepts of probability. Several popular probability distribution models and their applications will be discussed. Students will learn more about probability and its use in solving real-world problems.

本課程的主要目的是介紹概率論的基本概念，並討論一些常用的概率分佈模型及其應用。學生可以學到更多概率論的知識及如何用它解決現實問題。

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Understand the basic concepts of probability;
  2. Learn to evaluate elementary probabilities;
  3. Study several popular probability distributions and
    recognize the use of them in real-life problems.
