Dr. TSE Cyrus Tak Yin
Dr. TSE Cyrus Tak Yin is a Specialist in General Surgery who is currently in private practice. He has a special interest in robotic, laparoscopic and transanal minimal invasive colorectal surgery.
Dr. TSE was born in Toronto, Canada and spent his early years in both Toronto and Hong Kong. He graduated from University of Toronto with a degree in Bachelor of Science in 1998 before transferring back to Hong Kong and graduated from the medical school of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003. He became a Specialist in General Surgery in 2010 and has worked at various hospitals under the Hospital Authority for more than 15 years before entering private practice in 2018. Dr. TSE has received a number of awards including the 2014 Ho Hung Chiu Medical Foundation Fellowship. He underwent extensive overseas training in renowned medical centers including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, as well as Yonsei University Severance Hospital, Korea University Anam Hospital and Samsung Medical Center in Seoul. Dr. TSE is passionate teacher and examiner and is currently an Honorary Clinical Associate professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Hong Kong. He serves as a subspecialty trainer in colorectal surgery under the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and sits on councils of multiple professional bodies including Hong Kong Society for Coloproctology and Hong Kong Endoscopic Ultrasonography Society. He is also the vice chairman of the Youth Committee of Hong Kong Medical Association. In his spare time Dr. TSE enjoys playing in 2 music bands as well as snowboarding, hiking, golfing and horse-riding. Through this mentorship program he hopes to connect with students who are active and seeking to expand their social circle. |
