The Committee for the Selection of Head of Chung Chi College has been formed earlier this year. It is chaired by Professor Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor with members being Mr. Aubrey Li, Chairman of College Board of Trustees, and six College Fellows. The selection process undergone during the past months concluded with three consultation forums, collection of nominations, an interview with a possible candidate, and a meeting of the Selection Committee. The Committee has resolved to recommend Professor Fong Wing Ping, Associate Head of Chung Chi College (currently Acting Head of the College) and Professor in the School of Life Sciences, as the candidate for appointment as the next College Head, for the Council’s consideration and approval.

He has served a number of College committees, and was elected to the Assembly of Fellows in 1996 and appointed a Cabinet member in 1998 respectively. He was appointed as the Associate Head of the College since August 2014, and the Acting Head since January 2016.
