Abstract

In recent years Bayesian method has gained popularity and is now widely used in analysis of phylogenetics. Yet the statistical nature of phylogeny estimation is somewhat different from the traditional one, which causes extra-difficulties. I shall talk about some problems and challenge arising from Bayesian method in phylogenetics. The topics are based on the discussion in our joint seminar with biologists, and some related work of my former student who is now working in this direction.
