FINAL Examination Timetable, 1st term 2020-21 |
Dear Students, |
Further to our e-mail notification dated 28 October 2020 about DRAFT Examination Timetable, please be advised of the following arrangements of the Centralized Course Examinations in 1st term 2020-21. |
1. |
FINAL Examination Timetable |
The FINAL Examination Timetable has been released on CUSIS under the tab “Exam Timetable for UG Courses” today (16 November 2020). When students enquire the FINAL Examination Timetable, please pay attention to (a) for examinations with approved face-to-face arrangements, the examination venue will be shown, and (b) for online examinations, the invigilation arrangements (i.e. self-arranged invigilation, no invigilation) will be shown. |
As there have been further updates to the DRAFT Examination Timetable on mode of examination (e.g. change from online to face-to-face or vice-versa, or from self-arranged invigilation to no invigilation, etc.), students MUST check carefully their FINAL Examination Timetable under CUSIS for the date, time, mode of examination, seat number and venue assigned (for face-to-face examination only) and attend the course examinations accordingly. Students who attend face-to-face examination on campus should note that there may be two or more examination venues assigned for a course with large enrolment, students MUST attend the examination in the assigned venue and be seated in the assigned seat for attendance taking. |
For individual SEN students who need special examination arrangements as recommended by the Office of Student Affairs of the University, the FINAL Examination Timetable now released at RES homepage is NOT applicable to them. Separate e-mails will be sent on their individual Final Examination Timetable in the week of 23 November 2020. |
If there are any questions regarding the mode of examination, please contact the course teachers concerned directly. |
2. |
Declaration of Academic Honesty |
Students should have submitted in the last academic year or during new student registration the Declaration of Academic Honesty. Students who have not yet done so due to special reasons (e.g. suspension of study, no online examination attended) will receive a separate e-mail and they should submit the Declaration by the specified date. All students are abide by the statements in the Declaration in attending the examinations. |
3. |
Absence from Centralized Course Examinations |
In principle, students residing in Hong Kong should attend the examinations according to the mode of examination as stated in the examination timetable. If there are genuine difficulties to attend the online examination (e.g. due to network/home environment), students should seek assistance from the course teachers concerned so that suitable venue on campus can be arranged for them to take the online examination. For students who are NOT residing in Hong Kong, they should contact the course teachers concerned for alternative arrangements if they cannot sit the online examination at the specified time due to time zone/other problems. In all cases, students who cannot attend the examination(s) on the specified examination date stated in the FINAL Examination Timetable MUST apply for absence from examination in accordance with University Regulations. A student who is absent from any examination without permission shall be given a failure grade in that examination. Please observe the following application procedures. |
i. |
For reasons other than illness/injury: Students should submit application with related supporting documents well in advance of the examination date for consideration and approval by relevant approval authority. |
ii. |
For medical and/or other health reasons: Students should submit application with medical certificate (NOT attendance certificate) at the earliest possible instance but no later than 5 working days after the examination concerned. |
