I practiced law in Mainland China for one year before being a PhD candidate in CUHK.

THESIS TOPIC

China’s external energy security and law: is China adopting a rule-based approach to overseas energy investments?, co-supervised by Professors Anatole BOUTE and Benoit MAYER.

RESEARCH INTERESTS AND AIMS

I am interested in Energy and Environment Law. With my thesis, I hope to find out how national laws and international cooperation framework secure China’s external energy supply and combat climate change and whether they are replaced by geopolitical consideration under some circumstances. The Belt and Road Initiative is going to serve as a case study of my research.
