The project aims to embody the missions of the Chinese University of Hong Kong – “bo wen yue li” and Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong – “to serve, not to be served”. Students are cultivated through different programmes in areas of physical, intellectual and spiritual so as to achieve a holistic development.
Objectives of Uni-Y
Thinking
To advocate students’ awareness on their rights and responsibilities and to develop their leadership in terms of morality, skills and psychological adjustment.
Training
To enhance students’ skills and nature their psychological adjustment ability through the provision of continuing learning and training opportunities.
Practice
To encourage students’ participation on different levels and to execute their rights and responsibilities so as to develop their potentials.

Social Leadership CommitteeThrough various leadership training and internship scheme, our programmes not only equip students with good communication and interpersonal skills, but also boost their potential to be tomorrow's leaders with sense of social caring and responsibility |

Social Service CommitteeThrough different social services, we aim to strengthen student's care to our community and the needy with their potentials and talents fully employed. By cooperating with local social organizations, they take the role to fight the rights for the deprived and disadvantaged parties in the society. |

Global Vision CommitteeHoping to broaden fellow students' horizon and experience the great cultural diversity, we organise programmes like overseas service trip and trainings. Students have the chance to explore and understand different cultures, and voice out for the disadvantaged community in the world. |

Christian Action CommitteeTo deliver the message of God's love to all students, we work with a number of Christian groups in university and local community to hold various programmes to foster their spiritual growth and achieve holistic development in body and soul. |
