This is an advanced undergraduate course on classical mechanics. The course covers waves in mechanical systems, fluid mechanics, nonlinear dynamics and special theory of relativity. Students are advised to take PHYS 3011 before taking this course.

In the event that face-to-face teaching cannot be resumed before 10 March 2020 and be uninterrupted thereafter, the assessment scheme will be changed to:

Important note: Students who score less than 20% of Mid-term Test and Final Examination combined will receive an F grade, except for cases exempted by the Assessment Panel of the Department of Physics.
