Professor CHAIR Sek Ying

Sek Ying CHAIR (車錫英) is the Director and Professor in The Nethersole School of Nursing at CUHK. She is the Programme Coordinator of the MPhil/ PhD programme and the Master of Nursing Programme. She obtained her PhD from the University of Colorado at Denver.

Professor Chair has received the Best Teacher Award of the Faculty of Medicine for five consecutive years and the Master Teacher Award of the Faculty of Medicine. She has also received the Excellence in Cardiac Nursing Award and the Excellence in Cardiac Interventional Practice Award of the British Cardiac Nursing Association. She is an Honorary Advanced Practice Nurse appointed by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority.

Professor Chair has been serving the Hong Kong Nursing Council by setting licensing examination questions and participating in the accreditation of nursing schools. She has provided written Expert Opinion Reports to Coroner Cases and served as an Expert Witness in the Coroner’s Court.
