Dr Sunny H. Wong is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics. He completed his undergraduate medical degree in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and received his doctorate degree at the University of Oxford. He has worked on human genetics of common infectious diseases. His work has contributed to the identification of major genetic loci in tuberculosis, leprosy and malaria. He is primarily interested in understanding the host-microbe relationships for various medical diseases, including colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal infections and metabolic diseases.
