COVID-19: Clinical guidelines for dysphagia cases

Almost all health care services have been disrupted by the emergence of COVID-19. Alteration of clinical practice guideline should be implemented in response to this unprecedented situation, including the management of patients with dysphagia. In the article “Management of dysphagia in the patient with head and neck cancer during COVID ‐19 pandemic: Practical strategy”, it suggested using telehealth technologies for swallowing training, monitoring and reviewing progress of patients. For urgent instrumental assessment, adoption of high-level personal protective equipment of healthcare personnel to minimise risk was recommended. (Head Neck. 2020 Apr 29. doi: 10.1002/hed.26224.
