2nd Medical Education Conference of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUMEC)

Following last year’s success, the 2nd Medical Education Conference of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUMEC) returned on 16-17 March and was well attended with over 260 participants from 22 regions. Medical educators gathered to discuss and exchange on areas of bioethics, professionalism and workplace assessment through lectures and free paper sessions. There were also six workshops that allowed attendees the opportunity for in-depth discussion on topics such as class attendance, flipped classroom and broader education.

In addition to welcoming back old acquaintances, we were delighted to see many new faces from first-time participating institutions. As CUMEC focuses on three critical but under-studied areas in medical education, we see it as our mandate to grow and expand this conference to make it more encompassing; and we look forward to an even greater CUMEC next year!
